| ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Ensure availability of required hardware resources, software and tools for each project. Assign projects to identified teams. Carry out analysis, design, development and testing of software using appropriate tools. Supervise day-to-day development of assigned project work by team members as applicable. Guide teams in performing testing to ensure a good quality product id delivered. Conduct code reviews; ensure necessary improvements in code are made after reviews. Work closely with global technical team to ensure better and timely delivery. Communicate clearly and effectively with staff at different locations to ensure coordination for work done in India office. Ensure quality of the software deliverables and accuracy to specifications. Deliver projects on-time. Support any other departmental project/tasks as and when by supervisor. Be able to step in and perform any team member's duties as necessary. Suggest ideas to improve effectiveness, employee morale and satisfaction. Directly supervises software engineers and software test engineers assigned to her/him. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law. Occasional travel required for coordination and training purposes. | ||||||||||||||

| EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in technology (B Tech) or Masters in computer application (MCA) or related field. Must have at least five years experience in software development in a significant role. Must possess relevant experience as design and development lead. Must be good at handling a team size of five to six members. Should have good experience in MS technologies C, C++, C#, VS 6.0, Visual Studio 2003-2008, MS SQL Server 2000. Should have sound knowledge of XMLSPY 2004. Good working experience in C# programming a plus. Must display a sound understanding of software development lifecycle with excellent problem solving skills. Excellent debugging. Knowledge of fare collection systems a plus. | ||||||||||||||
