| ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Reports to the VP of ground combat training systems, responsible for the management, performance and completion of single or multiple high technology and/or high value programs. Manages and directs programs involving hardware, software and systems engineering. Assures programs are completed within budget, schedule and contract requirements. Programs are generally valued at $10M-$100M. Manage, oversee, monitor and approve elements of assigned programs from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of products. Ensure adherence to budget, schedule and contract requirements. Review and approve technical approach, feasibility and cost estimates for projects. Plan and direct integration of program management team members and representatives of various functional areas within the company. Conduct program coordination meetings and participate in program reviews. Plan and ensure resources such as engineering, manpower, production, computer support and facilities are available. Establish pricing for new business proposals. Participate in marketing new technology, developing potential new business and obtaining follow-on business in conjunction with marketing personnel. Negotiate contract terms and conditions along with contracts personnel. Serve as primary customer point of contact. Perform other managerial functions. | ||||||

| EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Four-year college degree in software, electronic or mechanical engineering or other technical discipline. MBA/MS, while not essential, would be preferred. Ten to twelve years of related engineering or technical experience, including four years of program/project management. Proven ability to manage and motivate teams of employees effectively. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form, conduct negotiations, interface with customers, subcontractors and suppliers and deal with employees and managers at all levels in Manufacturing, engineering and other departments. | ||||||
