| In addition to all of the specific requirements associated with the role of Joint Exercise Planning Specialist, the USAFRICOM JETP must be able to manage AFRICOM's 30 Million Dollar per annum Exercise STRATLIFT program. This position requires expertise in both the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). With respect to JTIMS, this person will be the USAFRICOM User Group Lead. The Joint Exercise Transportation Program Manager will host annual Exercise Synchronization Conferences | ||||||
| .:: Mental/Physical Requirements: | ||||||
| Must be able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material. Must be able to travel unassisted to US and foreign locations. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. | ||||||
| .:: Education/Experience Requirements: | ||||||
| Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or graduation from a military command and staff college plus 6 years of task related experience (3 of which earned as O-4/Gov't civilian equivalent or above) OR a combination of 10 years of DoD operational experience. Operational experience shall include experience with the Joint Training System (JTS), joint interagency operations planning, and basic knowledge of logistics and civil-military operations conducted at Combatant Command or Service Component Command level. Multi-theater operational or senior staff (Combatant Command or/and Joint Staff) experience desired if candidate has no USEUCOM or AFRICOM staff experience. Graduate of Phase I JPME desired. | ||||||
